Generating language dll's for SmartDVB

You can use a tool like lingobit to generate dll language files for smartdvb (or any other tool for that matter that allows you to generate dll files from .exe files). You add the exe as a project. Set project settings to generate resource dll's. If needed import dll entries from a previous version into the specific language dll you added to the lingobit project (so you don't need to re-translate all files again). Translate the not-translated entries. Generate the new dll, making sure the version for the new dll is set to 0.2.0 (or any other current version). Ensure the dll has the correct name (langxxx.dll). Move it to the language directory of smartdvb and it should work. Send the dll to me and i'll add it to the distribution.

You can encourage more translators by using simple way like English.lng instead of English.dll

maybe true, but using a tool like lingobit is pretty easy and very versatile, you have a nice interface to translate everything and the dll is simply generated for you...

hi. I myself have done this with visual studio which allows you to do this to resource dll's. Oddly enough initially i also could not modify this with the test version of lingobit, is this a feature of the trial i wonder?

Yes, I had same idea like you, so I tried full version of Lingobit program, but nothing changed. It's impossible change block header from English to something else in this program for me

indeed, that's free nd cheap solution . Btw the language code needs to be the codes ms uses, different from that list eg langARA.dll where 'ARA' is the lanuage code from a list like this http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa912040.aspx (quick google probably better altnernatives out there).
