Hauppauge WinTV-quadHD

Postby Europe12 » Fri Jun 02, 2017 5:44 pm

Hello,
I bought a new TV card, the Hauppauge WinTV-quadHD but it can not catch the TV channels.

On the TV card software, no worries, example TF1 HD via DVB-C works without worries, but with SmartDVB I have "L:38" while it should be "100" idem for Quality, it is at "Q:0" instead of "Q:100"

If your ideas :)

I found the problem.

The frequencies that there were in the transpoder Numericable France Paris, on "125" or "375" at the end. The card requires frequencies "000".

I just edited the file transpoder "6024" and its walk.

I delete the list of channels and I start a new one, but before I will save my info programming TV (I know not if its saved).

I change each frequency one by one, some frequency are in -1000 on the TV card, others are in -125 or -375

Example: Frequency 579000 is actually 578000 on the TV card.

I do not know if that's clear.

Good day,

These frequency offsets are known to occur with dvb-t, that's why the offset setting also exists. Of course i'll see about updating the frequency lists, for satellites these can be updated from the scanner dialog using the sync option, but for other devices this is more bothersome.

best regards...

Good day,

Yes, I have set the frequencies manually with the channel search menu.

On the other hand I wanted to know, the support multi TV tuner will be integrated into the software?

This card allows to have up to 4x DVB-C or 4x DVB-T / T2 at the same time with the possibility of organizing the mode of dignal as desired, we can do for example 2x DVB-C and 2x DVB- T / T2, currently I use the software for the signal DVB-C, for the second signal, I currently use NextPVR, its avoid juggling between software.

For the DVB-T signal I currently use PouchinTV Mod.

Thank you.

Best Regards.

Good evening,

If you currently want to use multiple devices you'll have to use multiple instances of the app. This has been tested and should work fine.

Install the app using the second installation option to install all files to a single folder (usually program files). Then you can just copy the installation folder to another folder and use it from there (I'll see about adding a portable archive for this where you would just unpack the archive to a folder). If you previously have installed the application to the local application path you have to rename or remove the local settings.ini (for example
c:/users/yourname/appdata/local/smartdvb/settings/settings.ini) as currently the app defaults to local app data usage in such a case.

Best regards
