scheduled recording freeze SmartDVB

I describe a problem which I'm experiencing for a few days; before all worked fine.
I have a scheduled task which runs every day. SmartDVB opens and the recording starts but there is no audio and no video (the tv window remains black), even if the recording is written to the disk as expected.
I don't remember if I have changed some settings, but now I'm struggling to try to understand which is the cause.

perhaps the task has been scheduled to start renderless? When scheduling/adding a task is the 'start renderless' option selected?
