what kind of remote device is that? Often manufacturers create bda extensions so support their remote controls, if such sdk is public ofcourse i could/would try to add support for such remote controls from within smartdvb.
Another question: How can I set position of channels according to multiplex number. For example when I press 2 to watch channel on second multiplex position.
i think what you mean is the channel nr (channel properties ch #), this atm would only be used when at the remote list/tab. When at the general/favorite list this is not searched for, if you require that i might look to add that, have thought about that myself recently ..
to be clear how it works atm. You should set the channel properties number (ch #) to the mutiplex number you require after which you should be able to enter the # (or multiplex if you prefer that name) at the remote station tab (you also would need to add the required stations to the remote list ofcourse). It doesn't switch if you're at the favorites list etc..
i'll look at this possibility, not sure btw if this is something provider specific sometimes or some dvb generic issue, need to review the standards there. If you know more i'd be much obliged..
I've read that thread you refer to a while ago, it's not clear to me what to do to implement support for such remote programmatically given what's mentioned in that thread, otherwise i would have tried something. Seems something propriety that would require specific information on how to implement from the manufacturer (sadly some/most are now interested in collaboration with third party software creators).
I bought Astrometa usb dvb-t2 stick from aliexpress last week and have the same problem with using remote in smartdvb instead original installation cd program. Did you figured out how to fix that? It will be very helpful to use remote in smartdvb, it's the best program for watching tv from all.
Thanks, it will be really nice if it works . If you figure it out, the only problem will be to use numbers. If just smartdvb have option to set position numbers for channel
Remote support for external remotes atm is limited. You might try to get it working with winlirc and some external tool. Or try to see if you can use something like eventghost to send keyboard commands to the app if the remote is not supported directly.
Btw it has come to my attention that the current remote support in the current public build (0.5.0.36rc2) is broken for non tbs devices which have some remote support (tevii for example) , so please wait for an update regarding this or mail/pm me for a test build.
I got a remote control . It emulates the keyboard. He learns in the keyboard settings, the basic functions work. The channel position number can be set (add to remote), but if there are a lot of channels, this will take some time.
