Good day.
With SmartDVB 0.5.0.11 RC Hotfix 1 I see black screen (tried with various renders) with the IMHO best (patched for HEVC 10bit decoding through CUVID for hardware acceleration with nVIDIA videocards on GM206 and GP1.. videochip) LAVFilters-0.68.1-35.exe (10MB) https://yadi.sk/d/M5KOnw9YyoQWo while trying to watch 18 available for me FTA 4K HEVC channels. Commercial DVBViewer 5.3.1, ProgDVB 7.17.2 and DVBDream 3.2 shows all that channels quite well with this decoder both in WinXP and in Win7x64 on my GM206-based GTX750 videocard.
PS. 19th 4K FTA HEVC channel is 19e2 VR Demo has 10000x1704 resolution, so it can't be accelerated.

Hi,

Which specific channels are you referring to?
And i presume most normal 8 bit HEVC channels work ok with lav? Does lav connect at all for those 10 bit channels, ie after change channel do you see the lav decoder as a connected filter?

I presume most normal 8 bit HEVC channels work ok with lav?

There is one 8bit channel I can receive from 30w 11262h30000 Hispasat 4K (see attach) only and it works OK with VMR9 (except some black blink at beginning of tuning on it), EVR and MadVR. Video Renderer (legacy) shows slowly (audio not sync to video). OverlayMixer and my favorite in WinXP VMR7 - black screen as Renderless when DVBViewer 5.3.1 in WinXP plays all 4K HEVC channels perfect.
Which specific channels are you referring to?

Any FTA HEVC 10bit channels, ie 42e 11980v12500 TRT 4K
Does lav connect at all for those 10 bit channels, ie after change channel do you see the lav decoder as a connected filter?

Yes, I see LAV Video (and Audio) Decoder and its settings there.
LAV Filers patched by Russian Aleksoid1978, I am Russian so here is Russian sample of 4K HEVC 10bit (278MB) https://yadi.sk/d/MdFNwFn9hGvDZ I recorded from Russian SAT provider Tricolor where every second frame is motion blur.

Hi

Thanks for the transport stream recording. With me using normal current 0.69 it seems to work somewhat, tested it with the dvb file play mode which uses the same direcshow render path.
If you want i could send you a test update which also has some madvr fixes but the problems you describe don't seem to occur with the current lav release as mentioned, also don't have NVIDIA to test that specific patch with. If you try the normal 0.69 lav with those channels do you see an image?

Many thanks but I don't know why but when I've deleted smartdvb.db and rescan all UHD channels again all work fine enough with patched LAV Video decoder both in WinXP - not VMR7 ( - and Win7x64 (one UHD channel became encrypted since - see attach with worked smartdvb.db) but your MadVR improved test version will be appreciated.
Some bad things still:
1. Video freezes when double-click to full screen - have to click many times to get well video in fullscreen mode;
2. I can not force 16:9 set up, so I have to Right-click and choose 16:9 every time if 4:3 sets by SmartDVB (I think from SAT channel);
3. Only DivX (Mainconcept) AAC Decoder works well on AAC channels. Ie DVBViewer works well with LAV Audio Decoder on AAC channels;
4. Despite of Multistream PLS settings I can't lock so transponders, ie 45e 11603v10500 stream 3 Root 218997. But in ProgDVB and 4T2 Content Analyser it locks well.

Hi,

Ok strange but good you got it working. Have to admit haven't looked at vmr7 much recent versions i'll have to check if something got broken there with recent updates, might have to do with recent EVR changes. Btw do you use the vmr osd with vmr7? If so try disabling that osd to see if vmr7 works different.

I presume the fullscreen freezes are only with MadVR?

AAC issues have been noted, and known not sure why divx seems better there, with me during testing some normal, non HEVC, channels with AAC ES (not LATM) work just fine wasn't sure if this was some app or audio codec issue so thanks for reporting this then. I actually do get some static sound with LAV audio on some of those HEVC AAC channels so weird.

About multistream, what device are you using? Multistream is only supported on TBS devices atm only with bda.dev or blindscan.dev which uses crazycat streamreader.dll (blindscanner / signalanalyzer etc). With bda.dev/tbs you have to select the tbs new interfaces in the bda device settings and also make sure pls is enabled in that device settings dialog.

I'll send you the next testable build, after finalizing and testing some current pending issues, don't like sending test builds with to me known issues so might take a couple of days or some, you know how coding is murphy's law always pops up.

If any issues arise from any test builds i send you send them through mail, better to keep forum messages about actual public versions.

Ok strange but good you got it working

I was glad too early - problem have returned but some other way - after I boot WinXP I smooth watch ie 42e 11980v12500 TRT 4K in SmartDVB with EVR with hardware acceleration but when I switch to another HEVC channel (or just close SmartDVB and try to play any HEVC file in KMPlayer patched by 7sh3) my PC loose hardware acceleration until reboot.

Do you use the vmr osd with vmr7?

No, I always turn off OSD in any (DVB-)player I use.

I presume the fullscreen freezes are only with MadVR?

With EVR too.

AAC issues have been noted

I have to add - it is many years issue.

Thanks for reporting this

You are welcome.

About multistream, what device are you using?

Omicom S2 PCI
I tried bdas.dev only. I'll try with bda.dev or blindscan.dev with mentioned settings.

I'll send you the next testable build

I'll be waiting so time so necessary.

loose hardware acceleration until reboot.

No idea what could be going on here let's wait if the update exhibits the same issues

With EVR too.

Ok, and fullscreen is ok with other renderers on XP? Did fullscreen EVR work ok with older pre 0.5.11 versions as far as you know?

Omicom S2 PCI

Ok, in any case bda.dev should be used for latest BDA device support, also might be more stable on device switching as it has been cleaned up some, bdas.dev has not been updated so not adviced to use that. Perhaps some of your issues are also related to bdas.dev usage. As mentioned there is no multistream support there for omnicom, is this a russian based device/chipset? And are you aware of any bda extensions to add multistream support for this device. If those other programs work they must exist.

Now HEVC works in WinXP without problem with HVA (Hardware Video Acceleration) - so it's not stable.
fullscreen is ok with other renderers on XP?

As I mentioned above EVR is the best choice yet for HEVC. Add: MadVR sometimes gives black fullscreen - I have left-click many times to get picture. I've tested older versions more then 5 years ago )
As mentioned there is no multistream support there for omnicom, is this a russian based device/chipset?

There is no omnicom - there is Omicom and you are right - this is a Russian device. CrazyCat wrote direct access device for AltDVB, TSReader and ie 45e 11603v10500 stream 3 Root 218997 works well even with signed CrazyCat's driver 1.3.525.0
But, as I mentioned above ProgDVB shows 45e PLS/MIS well with non-signed CrazyCat's driver 1.5.1102.0 (this is last version - it has PLS/MIS support).
I tried blindscan.dev 1.0.2.8 and StreamReader.dll 1.2.3.1382 in SmartDVB 0.5.0.11 with no lock 45e PLS/MIS.
I see that PLS/MIS support in SmartDVB for my Omicom is difficult to implement. Am I wrong?

Hi

Ok, i see no reason why mis/pls should not work for omicom it works for other devices which use crazycat streamreader.dll, blindscanner/signalanalzer/rfscan always use streamreader.dll regardless of which tuning module (bda.dev/blindscan.dev etc) is selected. PLS/MIS is reported to work fine with other (tbs) devices through crazycat streamreader.dll, the interfaces used through streamreader.dll are exactly the same for omicom as for other devices. Did you also try blindscanning that frequency with pls enabled in the blindscanner and correct pls set (218997)? Also did you try to manually scan the frequency in the normal scanner with pls set and mis set to 3? You can also enable logging in streamreader.ini and see what streamreader.log says about the failed pls/mis tune. I don't have an omicom device to test so only way to test this is through looking at logs after failed tune. You can send me an error report after a failed tune, if streamreader logging is enabled in streamreader.ini i should also get the streanreader.log. Dont forget to mention your name in the error report so i can easily reference it or better yet just email me the error report (you can save it to a file and then attach it to a mail)

In attach two logs in one small archive here (from SmartDVB - not work and CrazyScan - work) and other log with successful blindscan in SmartDVB.
Hope in new releases of SmartDVB will be no necessary to use blindscan to scan PLS/MIS with Omicom.

Hi @VictorLS,

Thank you for your information and your works. For Omicom MIS support is a good opportunity.

I've Omicom S2 Rev.3 tv card.

Can the "1.5.1102.0 driver" run on Windows10 ? Did you try ?

Thanks.

Good day serkanguzel,
Can the "1.5.1102.0 driver" run on Windows10 ?

I'll try it as soon as I can - I don't like even Win7x64 in comparsion with WinXP )
Win10x64 I don't like at all - it like to eat my limited internet and my radio remote control ATI Remote Wonder not works in 10 and much more )
Add: blindcan.dev with streamreader.dll in SmartDVB has direct access to Omicom S2 PCI so 45e PLS/MIS successfully locked with signed CrazyCat's driver 1.3.525.0 which hasn't PLS support at all (i.e. in ProgDVB Physical Layer Scrambling choice in Manual Search is gray - unavailable - with 1.3.525.0) in WinXP.

Hi

Good you got it sorted out. Blindscan results are saved in a .bs ini file, which you should also be able to select in the normal scanner to scan the mis id's afterwards, there's a combobox there to switch ini's. If this does not work let me know, blindscan.dev might need updating with regards to channel tuning. Bda.dev as mentioned won't work for your omicom. Are you able to do a manual MIS scan at the normal scanner atm with blbdscan.dev? If so you should be able to press save to save the mis/pls to the currently selected transponder in the frequency list.

I read ms is pushing for everyone to update to w10, i like w7 nothing wrong with that no need to have everything in the clouds available for the entire universe, even if it's better for security as ms mentions, you never know if there are malignant aliens out there waiting to crush us.

@serkanguzel: good to hear from you. Are you still available for testing builds?

Win10x64 has no .NET2-3 inside so I can't to run ProgDVB there - it's one program I know support PLS trough driver only. Any other direct and work with PLS/MIS well even with signed CrazyCat's driver 1.3.525.0
But I've installed lastest 1.5.1102.0 and it works good enough in Win10x64:

I thought that problem was in string 1=11603,V,10500,23,8PSK,MIS:3[0:218977][0:218977] in 0450.ini, but it seems I wrong.

Hi again @VictorLS,

Thank you for your tests.

1.5.1102.0 It is good to see you work on win10. :)

My old PC stolen. :(

On the new PC, there is no PCI slot.( Asus Z170 Pro Gaming )
Image

Now I need a PCI to PCI-E adapter. ( Because according to the good knowledge you give, it will be an effort worth trying for me. PCI-E MIS supported TV cards, $250 average. )

I will provide the adapter as soon as possible and implement your recipe.

Thank you again very much.

@VictorLS: thanks for the report. You're right it should not make a difference if those MIS strings in the ini are the same as in the bs ini it should work the same, i'll check if there's some inconsistency there. In your example i see the pls mode, code string twice is this a copy paste error or is that string like that in the ini, if so might be some update error i'll check it

Not copy-paste issue. Try set all values incl MIS and PLS and press Add TP button.

On the new PC, there is no PCI slot

This is one of many causes why I don't change my computer - part of my story http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p ... ost1784954
But I have another problem with my old PC - mainboard has only one PCI-E (namely x4) slot between processor and videocard - it's some hot (I like silence) to set any SAT-card there. So, I think about buying just on stock TBS 5520SE USB (about 100$) to receive 16-32APSK, DVB-S2X and DVB-C/T/T2 in one device http://www.tbsdtv.com/products/tbs5520s ... b_box.html
We are in Russia's Crimea under sanctions yet but I'll try to buy.
You are trying to do something like http://www.omicom.ru/index.php/products ... 2-pro-pcie
Best regards but remember one thing (I some forget it earlier) to receive MIS/PLS - in your Omicom demodulator must be STV0903BAC (not BAB) https://pctuner.ru/datas/att/img/1/att_1066.jpg - first string on chip must be COT (not BOT).
Thank you again very much.

hi,

quite an interesting device btw that 5520s from tbs, like that it's USB and as such portable.
Btw about those other apps, i don't use them, how do they work with MIS? You have to know the MIS id beforehand like with sdvb?
You're in russia, you also have access to a dvt-t2 device to possible test PLS implementation.

Size isn't important for me, but power consumption is important.
But main: TBS 5520SE is so mighty )

how do they work with MIS?

They work very well by support in CrazyCat's direct access modules, except ProgDVB which works trough driver. I'll try it if I could install .NET 3.5 offline in Win10x64

You have to know the MIS id before hand like with sdvb?

In ProgDVB no - it has Search button, in others - yes.

You're in russia, you also have access to a dvt-t2 device to possible test PLS implementation.

Yes, I'm in Russia but may be you speak about MultiPLP? As I know there isn't PLS in our DVB-T2 translations.

Hi,

Yes i meant PLP for dvb-t2, typo, i plan to implement this soon but need some testers for it, always difficult to make assumpions in code whilst one cannot really test it live, also to ensure basic dvb-t functionality keeps working ok. For tbs i can add this with direct driver support, but also blindscan.dev is possible of course.

I could try to add some MIS search functionality to the normal scanner using blinscan.dev, didn't spend time on that since the crazycat blindscan does a good job there. I'll see if it's possible to write to omicom about direct bda driver mis/pls access, not all manufacturers are very cooperative with third party apps so we'll see.

Yes i meant PLP for dvb-t2

I haven't DVB-T2 computer device yet, but I can receive well many Russian MultiPLP (T2-MI) from SAT by 4T2 Content Analyser.
On 4e9 there is two Ukrainian transponders with T2-MI in Multistream (MIS) - 12188Н30000 stream10 & 20 и 12341Н30000 stream30 (stream40 is ordinary MIS). They are playing with square artifacts (two-three times for one second per minute) in 4T2 Content Analyser but ideally with astra-sm. Such transponders can't be even locked by any SAT application so your trying to implement T2-MI support in SmartDVB is appreciated.
Just get .NET 3.5 in Win10x64 by attach Win10_J_CCSA_X64FRE_RU-RU_DV5.ISO as virtual DVD-drive F: by Windows and Run As Administrator cmd: Dism /online /enable-feature /featurename:NetFX3 /All /Source:F:\sources\sxs /LimitAccess
I was wrong - in ProgDVB search MIS not Search but Detect button

Hi, yes these oversights will be looked at fotlr the next builds. Btw there's a view setting to add the additional video information with videodlstream and audio type, by default this is disabled on new installs, since most people probably would prefer the smaller video header.
The switched resolution display oversight should be fixed for the next builds, hevc parsing changed a bit for sure i made some little errors there

I beg your pardon - I've found and check View > Additional video/record status and in Win7x64 becomes as in WinXP.
What about possibility for recorded files set date-time before name of channel? I like to see sport from different channels and I don't want to know result before - so I want to watch recorded files in series by time in any player.

ok no prob, you should be able to edit the record name at 'tools > settings > record' to set the date string in front of the name.

Can anybody confirm slow (about two minute) lock of encrypted channel with AAC audiotrack without any plugin in SmartDVB which freezes on that time?

What about add Zoom in SmartDVB like in DVBViewer?
1. Right-click menu;
2. Slider of Zoom: lefter is smaller, righter - larger.
3. Presets (3 memory position).
Default instead of Reload Channel will be appreciated.
