Issues recording on same channel with time overlapping

Postby Nierewa » Sat Jan 10, 2015 1:07 pm

Hi,

I want to take two sheduled recordings on same channel with time overlapping.

Recording 1: 12.00 - 12.40
Recording 2: 12.35 - 13.10

Now Recording 1 starts and ends 12.35 (not 12.40) and the Record 2 starts 12.35.
But now lacks 1-2 sec between the recordings.

Both Records should run at the same time independently of each other.

- what os you're using: Windows 7
- what type of card you're using (which driver u selected): BDA
- what settings you changed from default settings: Only Filters ;-)
- what version of smartdvb you are using: 4.0 RC

hi this is not possible atm, modifying it would be non trivial since extra recordings are couple to station atm, so not for this release. Best option would to add a single overlapping record for both records. And after recording the .ts stream edit it with another video editing tool to clip out the video you want.

Thanks for you response.

First of all, thanks for this great software. It's the best out there only this little "bug" is very annoying.
Recording two different channels on same frequency and same time works perfekt.
Why it's so hard to managed this for two recordings on same channel at same time?

Could this be managed in further versions?

I tried your solution and it works great for two perts or three.
But I want to record a documentation with more than 8 parts in HD.
The resulting video file is more than 50GB so I can't edit it.

If "... modifying it would be non trivial since extra recordings are couple to station ..." can you fix it please?
