Now testing with Build 9860 and so far no problems. Now using LAV Decoder v0.62.0 (Microsoft DTV-DVD Decoder is not required)
Renderer VMR9 and EVR both appear to work.

SmartDVB is my replacement of Choice for MCE in Windows 10. Great project!

Hi,
I was encouraged by your post as we seem to have similar equipment. However, I cannot get the Scan to find any channels.

I have an HP P6360uk Desktop (Intel i7 CPU) with 6GB RAM.
It is running Windows/7 Home Premium.
I have been happily using Windows Media Centre for 5 years recording and viewing live TV programs.
The HP came with a TV tuner installed, Device Manager says its an AverMedia H789 PCI-E Hybrid DVB-T
It is connected to the same aerial in the loft as the TV in our lounge.
I can receive all the UK Freeview channels just fine on both the TV and Computer.
I believe my nearest transmitter is the one at Crystal Palace.

I am being tempted to upgrade, for free, to Windows/10, but am concerned that it does not support Windows Media Centre.

I found your post and decided to install SmartDVB. It is version 0.4.0.12, however, I cannot get it to detect any channels.
In Tools/Devices, I have these modules displayed in the upper section:
Florian BDA DVB-S/T/C ATSC Device
CrazyCat Blind Scan Device
(there are 4 more but they have a white x on a red circle on their icon)
If I click on the Florian line the following appears in the Devices found section:
AVerMedia Cx23888 BDA Tuner/Demod (device type Terrestrial (DVB/T)
I then highlight that and press the Select Device button

I then choose Channels/Select current Frequency List
When the Scanner window appears, I select DVB-T - UK.Crystal Palace, which brings up 6 frequencies from 506000 - 538000
I then press the Scan button and it begins scanning, but comes up with > No Signal under each one.

I have also tried DVB/T - UK.All Regions - with no success.

I am still able to receive broadcasts using Windows Media Centre, so I don't know what is wrong or what I need to do to get SmartDVB to work.
Any advice would be very welcome,

Chris.

@chrisbon: did you try to see if this is an offset issue (scanner has an offset option, please disable this if enabled and see if your mileage varies).
